Use words that evoke strength and success.
Day 3: Try filling your thoughts with words that make you feel strong, happy and in control of your life. Make a concentrated effort to focus on these words rather than those that make you feel like you are failing or incompetent.
So Day 1 I spent 6 hours making an engagement cake for a friend. While delivering the cake it slid and the side of it crashed. I was CRUSHED. I call this poor man who is trying to get all the police department ready and the hospital ready for an amazing romantic proposal to his girl and I call him with...the cake is dead DOOM DOOM DOOM. I continue to the hospital trying to maintain my composure. I have ruined the proposal! I hate cakes! Then I remember my rules of being positive. I dry my eyes, bring the cake in and repair it to the best of my ability. Turn the boo boo part to the back and leave. The whole way home I decide it wasn't so bad after all, luckily the cake was buttercream and could be repaired and its not about the cake, its about these 2 love birds.
I post the picture on facebook and get tremendous response! Eric Turner and Leslie Hodge love the cake and have asked me to do the wedding cakes! What an honor!!
So here is my positive motivation! I CAN do good cakes even when things go wrong, people are still understanding! I WILL bring an emergency cake kit with me next time! I have people who love me and because of this I WILL succeed!
Today I will make a list of 5 words that describe my ability to be successful and that I CAN do this and im control of my life! I am not a failure! There are only bumps in the road!
