Day 10 Learn from the past

Learn from the past.

Day 10: The past is behind you and no matter how badly things went there is nothing you can do to change them. Whenever you feel negative thoughts about the past come up, replace them with positive thoughts about the future.

We cannot change our past no matter what. 2 years ago was the beginning of a sad time for me. I lost my Papaw, My brother in law and my best friend Bonni all in 6 months. I also went through a horrible separation and lost my business during this time. I held on to so much of this pain for so long. It created baggage that I did not need... but to me, It was easier to stay in pain and suffer quietly. What in the world was I thinking! I have 2 darling God Sons, Kody and Ty Ty. I have so many memories from each one of these people. They BROUGHT something to my life that I needed. They were all strong people. Andy was kind, a good daddy, a good husband to my sister, funny, happy, held a good job. My papaw, well he was a man, and I mean a man...one that came from a time when a handshake was still worth something, he was so kind. I only heard him raise his voice once and he was telling a story and got loud because he was tickled! He was in his garden or fishing every day. He loved my family so much. And Bonni...Bonni was STRONG. Cancer may have gotten her body, but it did not get her spirit. She prayed with the faith of a child, she was not scared. She told me she was not scared from the first minute. She was my best friend for 17 years. I cant bring them back, but I can look at how they affected me. I cant change I lost the tattoo shop, or got a divorce. But I do know I have the tools in life to make sure none of that happened again.

Back to yesterdays positive...forgive yourself and LEARN FROM THE PAST. Need to forgive yourself again after today's positive? Go ahead...Forgiving is the first step to healing!

God, Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

Asia

FORGIVE YOURSELF!!! Day 9 of 100 Positive days!

Forgive yourself.

Day 9: Constantly beating yourself up about things that have gone wrong won't change them. Tell yourself that you're forgiven for your mistakes and allow yourself to move on.

Today write down in a journal a paragraph on how you can and will forgive yourself for the mistakes you have made in your life. Reflect, remember the lesson you learned and keep pushing forward!

Day 8...Give yourself some credit!

Give yourself credit.

Often when we feel frustrated or upset we only concentrate on the bad things or the mistakes we've made instead of giving ourselves credit for what we do right. Allow yourself to feel confident about the things you have accomplished, even if you've messed up in other areas.

We all know when we have even one teeeeeeeeeeeny negative thought...many more are allowed to rush into our brains and we are convinced of impending doom...DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM.
Do we sit around and think, OMG what if I get a raise...What if I get a new car or find $20.00 in a parking lot...NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
Lighten up!! Keep those negative thoughts away.  My girl Becky Platt loves to keep away bad thoughts.  She followed me on my last 100 days of positive and has had tremendous results!!

Give yourself credit!! The next time something seems down, Think about what exactly you have accomplished in life!  I have 3 AMAZING and BEAUTIFUL children, gone to college, been a successful tattoo artist and business owner for quite a few years, A very recognized tattooed model, spokes model for many sites, owner of my own tattoo convention and I'm now being recognized and getting many many compliments on my food and baking. (Thank you everyone by the way...THANK YOU for giving me a chance.  I hope to make you proud!)

Give yourself credit today!  Get out your attitude journal and make a list!

Giving credit where credit is due is a very rewarding habit to form. Its rewards are inestimable.

Day 7: Analyze what went wrong...

Analyze what went wrong.

Day 7: Thinking positively doesn't mean denying that there is anything wrong. Instead, give yourself some time to think about the things that led up to your current situation so you can avoid future mistakes and look toward a more positive tomorrow.

It is what it is.

Day 6...Believe you WILL succeed!

Believe you will succeed.

Day 6: There is nothing like believing in yourself to create a successful reality. Give yourself the benefit of the doubt and believe that you will succeed at fulfilling your goals.

When I became a tattoo artist I wanted nothing more for a profession. I loved every aspect of the industry and the people that came along with it. After about 15 years I found myself pretty well known, judging all the competitions, hosting Miss Ink pageants, being a tattooed model and owning my own tattoo convention. I even got to do a little work with Playboy (non nude I'm not like that).

Soon after, my world came crashing down. I became separated and lost everything in my life. I trusted in someone that was supposed to be helping me and well, he stole all of my tattoo shop equipment. I mean THOUSANDS of $$$ worth. He then GAVE it away. I have nothing to open a shop with or to work. I don't have the money to replace it with.
I decide to start cooking. God gave me an incredible gift for food and why not make a living out of it!? I get offered a job as a head chef at MOD Cafe on the Island...I had already moved here, back to The Ville. I owe so much right now to one of my best friends EVER and my sister Joanna Wilson. She literally handed this to me. So while coming to lunch one day Joanna brings me a recipe she had in a magazine for Margarita cupcakes. I deliver them up to the DMV and suddenly...I have orders! From cupcakes and cake pops to cakes, to catering. God is so good!!!!

Today give yourself the benefit of the doubt. If I can make this big change at 34 years old...Anybody is capable of ANYTHING!!!
When you feel like your in a hole and dirt is constantly being shoveled over you and your just going to be buried alive...shake it off and step up...shake it off and step up. Soon you'll be out!!

"You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, 'I lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along.'"

Day 5 of 100 Days of Positive!

Direct your thoughts.

Day 5: This technique, used by psychotherapists, control your thoughts when you start to feel down or anxious. Create a happy thought, a positive image, or give yourself positive feedback to keep bad feelings in check.

When you have certain people or places that make you feel like you are going to loose control of your positive thinking, we must do something to keep ourselves from drowning in a sea of panic. For instance you are stuck in a time when you have not yet reached your goals...continue to think about those goals and what it will be like when you finally DO get there. Imagine that house, car, boat, store...whatever it may be and picture your family IN it!
I think everyone has heard that when you get nervous in front of a crowd, imagine them all naked and in neon green socks (or whatever color). But the point is, that we have got to rely on ourselves to stay positive! Positive feedback is a good way to look at things...Sing “Anything you can do I can do betteeeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr”! This is so!

I have a good friend that is always so positive about everything she does. She has had her ups and downs and turns them BOTH into a success. She is the queen of happy thoughts and positive images, and not to mention keeping bad feelings in check. She says So what! You had a moment. Its over go learn from it. This is the truth and all too many times we want to sugar coat it and have someone pat us on the back and say it will all be ok...get up, dry the tears and let's go! Life is not going to get up and just happen...It will however happen without you!

So my trick is...When someone or something makes me feel out of check I say ok is this person, place or thing bigger than God? NO! You are not so you have no control or POWER over me.

Today don't let people get to you. Remember they are human too. Bosses, Exes, kids, parents, students, teachers, the store clerk! Maybe they are having a bad day.

Day 4 Practice Positive Affirmation!!

Practice positive affirmation.

Day 4: One of the most popular positive thinking exercises is positive affirmation. This means you repeat a positive phrase to yourself on a regular basis like "I deserve to be happy" or "I am worthy of love". Believing that these things are true, and reminding yourself of it can help give you a more positive outlook on life.

Do we really stop and think about or self worth? Do we reassure the value of ourselves?

Today give yourself positive affirmation! Repeat this as many times as you can. Ok let's channel our inner Jack Handy! Because I'm good enough, smart enough, and gosh darnet people like me! Saturday Night Live may have made it a funny (which is a great way to look at it because we all could use a little humor in our lives) but I want you today to take it seriously. We need this direct language with ourselves! Usually the only time I talk to myself is because I'm loosing patience with something and it sound like eek! Oh maaaaaaaaaan, why cant I do this.

Today It will be positive affirmation telling myself I DESERVE A GOOD LIFE. I DESERVED TO BE LOVED. I AM WORTH OF THIS LIFE I WANT FOR MYSELF AND MY CHILDREN.

Write down in your positive attitude journal today your positive affirmations. TELL them to yourself. Have a GREAT day!
